"Approximately two months ago, I found myself e-mailing someone from the Australian Shepherd Rescue Club. After five years, I was ready to give up on our dog, Jack. I know it's not a good thing to admit, but I just couldn't take his behavior anymore...we were constantly yelling at him for something. He would bark uncontrollably everytime he saw wildlife out in the yard...jump on furniture, on window sills, scratch walls. Jack also hated seeing me leave the house....when I headed for the door, he would chase me, nipping at whatever part of me he could grab and bark.
